2019 NBA Offseason Day 2 Recap

As I still add my thoughts to Day 1, here is at least a resource that you can use as a list of all of the moves made today and what these reported salaries are probably going to look like, sorted by their 2019-20 salaries.

(Estimates/player option/team option/not fully guaranteed)

Clippers and Blazers join the Jimmy Butler sign-and-trade
Heat receive:
Jimmy Butler$32,742,000$34,379,100$36,016,200$37,653,300
Meyers Leonard$11,286,515

76ers receive:
Josh Richardson$10,116,576$10,865,952$11,615,328

Clippers receive:
Maurice Harkless$11,511,234
Miami's 2023 1st round pick, protected 1-14 through 2025, then unprotected (per Barry Jackson)

Trail Blazers receive:
Hassan Whiteside$27,093,018

Miami needs to get under the hard cap before completing this deal, and that could be as simple as stretching Ryan Anderson's contract, though that would leave $5.2 million in dead money over the next 3 years.

July 6th update: LA is also receiving the draft rights to Mathias Lessort, the 50th pick in 2017.

Cory Joseph signs with the Kings: 3 years, $37 million
$11,746,032$12,333,333$12,920,635

Like their other signings, only a partial guarantee on the third year, per Amick.

Tomas Satoransky agrees to a sign-and-trade with the Bulls: 3 years, $30 million
$9,523,810$10,000,000$10,476,190

Wizards receive:
The better of the Bulls' and Grizzlies' 2020 2nd round pick (protected 56-60)
The right to swap the Lakers' 2022 2nd round pick for the better of the Bulls' or Pistons'
The elimination of protections on the Bulls' 2023 2nd pick

Wayne Ellington signs with the Knicks: 2 years, $16 million
$7,804,878$8,195,122

2nd year is a team option, per Marks.

Elfrid Payton signs with the Knicks: 2 years, $16 million
$7,804,878$8,195,122

Guessing that a team option will be involved like the rest of their signings.

Maxi Kleber re-signs with the Mavericks: 4 years, $33 million
$7,674,419$8,058,140$8,441,860$8,825,581

With his tiny cap hold, they can use up all of their cap space first before making this official. It was initially reported as $36 million, but that's including incentives.

Seth Curry signs with the Mavericks: 4 years, $32 million
$7,441,860$7,813,953$8,186,047$8,558,140

Ish Smith signs with the Wizards: 2 years, $12 million
$5,718,000$6,003,900

Estimating the Taxpayer MLE for now.

Enes Kanter signs with the Celtics: 2 years, "$10 million"
$4,767,000$5,005,350

It's possible this is part of the full MLE if Boston manages to stay over the cap, but since it sounds more like the Room MLE that so many of the big men are getting, I'm using that number.

Richaun Holmes signs with the Kings: 2 years, "$10 million"
$4,767,000$5,005,350

Has to be the Room MLE

Frank Kaminsky signs with the Suns: 2 years, "$10 million"
$4,767,000$5,005,350

Could be cap space if they make a move like renouncing Kelly Oubre Jr., but I'm estimating the Room MLE again.

Kevon Looney re-signs with the Warriors: 3 years, $15 million
$4,629,630$5,000,000$5,370,370

I thought he'd go for a 2nd year player option to potentially get a bigger contract next year already, but he went for the security of more guaranteed with the 3rd year as the PO, per Slater.

There ya go, @BobbyMarks42 was spot on in his offseason preview for Looney, and all of the bigs getting the Room MLE set the market for a starting salary. With Napier/Graham sent out, they can sign 3 vets and still have breathing room for 10 dayshttps://t.co/xJzmR3ZP8S pic.twitter.com/S6B7sQOWgV

Warriors re-route Napier and Graham:
Timberwolves receive:
Shabazz Napier$1,845,301
Treveon Graham$1,645,357
Cash considerations

It's not reported what Golden State will receive, but it's likely to just be the draft rights to a long forgotten player like Henk Norel or Lior Eliyahu or a top-55 protected 2nd round pick. As they face the hard cap, replacing these two with minimum contracts will at least save $249,530 with the possibility of more if they fill out the roster with players who have less than 2 years of experience.

July 8th update: The trade is now complete, with Eliyahu the return, #AsExpected.

Austin Rivers re-signs with the Rockets: 2 years, minimum contract
$2,174,318$2,436,047

Since it's two years, the full cap charge will apply to Houston.

J.J. Barea re-signs with the Mavericks: 1 year, minimum contract

Will be $2,564,753 for him while only counting as $1,620,564 for Dallas, and like Kleber, it will likely be done after they use up all of their space.

Wesley Matthews signs with the Bucks: minimum contract

As exactly a 10 year veteran, he'll count as $1,620,564 regardless of the years, while making $2,564,753.

Anthony Tolliver signs with the Trail Blazers: 1 year, minimum contract

He will also make $2,564,753 as an 11 year veteran.

Isaiah Thomas signs with the Wizards: 1 year, minimum contract

He will make $2,320,044 as a 7 year veteran.

Kyle O'Quinn signs with the 76ers: 1 year, minimum contract

He will make $2,174,318 as a 7 year veteran.

Troy Daniels signs with the Lakers: 1 year, minimum contract

He will make $2,028,594 as a 6 year veteran.

Nerlens Noel re-signs with the Thunder: 1 year, minimum contract

No formal details have been reported, but based on the transaction wire showing this has already been signed during the moratorium, it's safe to assume it's the minimum that will pay him $2,028,594. This is back to back years that I'm shocked at a player of his caliber having to settle for the minimum.

Michael Carter-Williams re-signs with the Magic: 1 year deal

Sounds like the minimum, which would earn him $2,028,594.

Tim Frazier signs with the Pistons: 1 year, minimum contract

He will make $1,882,867 as a 5 year veteran.

Jordan Bell signs with the Timberwolves: 1 year, minimum contract

Hey it's actually someone who will make the $1,620,564 that he counts as!

Matt Thomas signs with the Raptors: 3 years, $4.2 million
$898,310$1,517,981$1,782,621

These are the numbers for a minimum contract, but since it's for 3 years, it would be a part of the full MLE, which would hard cap them.

Edmond Sumner re-signs with the Pacers: 3 year deal, details unknown

Alec Burks signs with the Thunder: details unknown
